Louise Goldman Katz Rice

After graduating EPHS, I attended Arizona State in Tempe and graduated with a BA in elementary education with a Spanish minor. I married Richard Katz and had my two children, Scott and Karen. We lived in Phx. until the mid-80's and then moved to El Paso. I was married for 21 years until we divorced. After six years, in 1997, I married Harrell Rice and was married 16 years before he passed away. I had retired and realized I needed to be active in teaching, so I started tutoring at Sylvan and then at La Fe Preparatory School. My favorite activity in the last 25 years has been and still is ballroom, country, and Latin dancing. I have taken lessons from many instructors, was president of USA Dance El Paso Chapter, danced with my teachers in six showcases, and have traveled to other cities to dance and watch competitions. I have three wonderful grandchildren-Sara Dearen in Albuquerque, and Claudia and Andrew Katz in Dallas.

I've attended all reunions except one, and I really enjoy seeing people from my high school days.
