working, having children, you know, the usual. I worked 11 years in hospitals 6 years nusing homes, managed grocery stores 5 years and worked at AT&T 11 years. I liked having a steady income., I think!! hehe.. I have been an art teacher for two years, I was in West Texas Watercolor Society for three years. I co-created,with son Caleb and his wife, Lubbock Poetry Movement on Facebook that has
1,264 members in U.S. and abroad. We perform open mics at various local venues regularly and have sent some poets across state to perform and win purse money.

School Story

A favorite memory of mine is the plays we put on from drama class. I was behind scenes for "By the Skin of our Teeth". On stage for one scene in"The Mouse that Roared". Starred in "The Ugly Duckling" as Princess Camilla, Our Drama teacher wrote a poem in my senior yearbook, as follows: "So calm and content, So quiet and retiring, So consciencious of politeness and toward that trait aspiring! If it were so, why did poor Jerry whimper, what I meant was ,I'd like to hold you forever!" THEN he promptly dropped me and I plopped and flopped all over the stage.. It got laughs. Our choir was the best choir and I enjoyed every moment with Frank Odom in charge.. good times...yes!

Hello, Marcy, you were always so kind to me. I am glad I am learning how many former classmates are doing. Hope your days are well.
