Abraham Chavez III passsed away in El Paso on 13 December 2022.

   

ABRAHAM CHAVEZ III OBITUARY

Abraham Chavez III, 75, formerly of Arizona, sadly left us on December 13, 2022  after having recently relocated to El Paso, TX.  Abe is preceded in death by his beloved parents Maestro Abraham Chavez Jr and Mother, Lucy Villegas Chavez.

Abraham III (Abe) is survived by his two siblings Eduardo (Wife MaryLou) Chavez and Lisa (Husband Joe) Vasquez, five nieces and nephews:

Nephew Eddie (Wife Beth, Jackson, Carter) Chavez;

Niece Yvette (Carlitos son, Alexis daughter) Chavez-Lascurain;

Niece Desiree (Husband Oscar Ornelas, Xavier Beltran son, Hailey Serrano daughter);

Nephew Joseph(Wife Jenee, Natalie daughter) Vasquez;

Niece Jessica (Son Liam) Vasquez;

Nephew Matthew Chavez-Engle.

Born on November 1, 1947, Abe was a proud alumni of El Paso High School, UTEP and the University of Colorado, Boulder.

While in Colorado, purchased a small ranch with horses and his two endeared four legged companions, Midas and Lance.

Having traveled the world and Headquartered in Connecticut performing as an Internal Auditor for IBM for over 23 years, Abe retired from the corporate world and pursued the art of natural healing.  He studied Reiki, became a Reiki Master, and introduced the Rain Drop technique and successfully practiced his craft in Arizona many years.   Abe also conducted open-forums in his home as an Eckart Tolle practitioner.

During his extensive travels throughout the Southwest, Abe became a devotee of the Native American way of life and assembled an impressive Native American art  collection of paintings and pottery in addition to his rare gem collection.    For years, Abe’s benevolent nature supported the Lakota Nation children with generous gifts and befriended artists to include R Carlos Nakai and Joseph Fire Crow.

In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling, golf and baby-sitting his brother Ed’s little Yorkie, Mona Lisa Marie.

The strength and caring of Abe’s gloriously loving heart will be forever remembered by those he leaves.
