Obituary of Shirley Little

Shirley suddenly passed away at home on Wednesday, December 7, 2022. She was born on August 12, 1948, in El Paso, Texas to Paul and Daisy Little. She graduated in 1966 from El Paso High School where she was an active member of theMarching Tiger Band. She then attended the TexasWestern College/the University of Texas at El Paso where her love for music continued as a member of theMarchingMiners, Symphonic Band and Pep Band. She was also an active member of Tau Beta Sigma. As a career move she worked in finances at Paul Little company, SierraMedical Center and University Medical Center.

She was known for her kindness and compassion for her friends and coworkers. She had a heart of gold and was always there for those lucky enough to be her friends. Her kindness was also evident in her love for animals, especially Boston Terriers and most recently rescue cats. She loved the movies and loved basketball. OnceMarchMadness came, she was unavailable and glued to the television.

Shirley is survived by her sister Lynne Sherry Carter and two nephews Bart Carter and Paul Carter and numerous friends. She was preceded in in death by her parents.

Graveside services will be at Memory Gardens of the Valley at 4900McNutt Road, Santa Teresa, New Mexico on Thursday, December 22, 2022, at 1:00 PM. Services are entrusted to Perches Funeral Home.
