My memoriess go back to our Lamar School days.  You were such a good friend and it was good to know your family especially your sister Alice.  You will be remembered with such fond memories of our friendship.  I will always remember your house on Yandell Street.  Our sympathy goes out to your daughter and the McCord family.  You will be missed, Charles.  Pam Yip Valle and husband Mike.

It was on a Saturday, shortly after he returned from Vietnam.  Charlie parked in front of my house and got out of his car wearing a pair of wide flare bell bottom jeans, a red knitted vest with long tassel fringe and a leather head band with feathers dangling from one side.  It was funny even back then.  I told him “it’s flowers in your hair” not feathers!  He asked me if anyone we knew had gone to the Woodstock festival.  I didn’t know of anyone going.  My father kept asking him where the party was.  He was a funny guy.  A great friend.  He always made me laugh.  I will miss him.    My condolences to his family.

Enjoyed your sense of humor.  You always found a way to make us take life a little less serious.  Condolences to the family.
